Latin America and the Caribbean is a region that is highly vulnerable to the effects of climate change and, at the same time, key to confronting it. Therefore, adaptation and resilience building efforts are a priority.
However, both at the regional and national levels, adaptation to climate change has come late, allowing losses and damages to appear in a region that, while being severely affected by climate change, is embarking on a transition context with a still unclear objective.
How does this context affect the development of climate objectives? How do we prepare ourselves to build more resilient societies? What experiences exist in the region and how do we enhance them?
This event aims to present the report entitled: "Adaptation and Loss and Damage: Proposals to develop them in the framework of a just transition" in which the NGO CEUS Chile investigated the public policy framework with which adaptation and loss and damage are addressed in the country.
